Foot Type is Crucial to the Right Shoe

Runners looking to get a new pair of running shoes should definitely take their time before investing into any pair. There are a wide variety of options to explore in terms of quality shoes, but they are not all made the same. For those that are not familiar with running or just aren’t sure about what shoe to get, it’s vastly important to make sure that the shoe is write for the specific foot type that a runner possesses. This is a crucial discovery made in recent years, as the feet are different for all walks of life, and there is no major standard that covers every single runner in the world.

The first thing to do is measure the foot, and make sure the length is in order. After measurements are taken, consider the width of the foot, and the arch. People do not have the same foot style, some have flat feet, some have higher arches, some have wider tops, some have long and slender feet, and some have large feet with long toes, and that’s all normal, but without knowing what type a person has, the right shoes can not be purchased. This kind of painstaking measurement should be done every time, so that the shoe matches the foot correctly and no injuries occur.

Not all shoes are created equal, much like not all feet are the same. This is the most important lesson that any runner should learn. The sooner a runner comes to grips with the fact that their feet are unique, the sooner a good fitting, proper shoe can be found.

Where do you suggest that we go to get the measurements like this taken? I’ve been to shoe stores and the people there really don’t look like they know what they are doing? Half of them don’t seem to know how to go to the back of the store to find the right shoe size.
